Our Story

Sevin Decorating is a boutique painting company that specialises in delivering premium painting and decorating finishes to residential and commercial properties across the North Island of New Zealand. 


After 25 years in the painting industry working Overseas, Australia and New Zealand Pete founded Sevin Decorating in Auckland in 2020, the company is known for its exceptional work and attention to detail. Pete is the Director of Sevin but also the lead painter of the business, Pete is meticulous with his finishes and enjoys being hands on with each project. In this industry delays are sometimes unavoidable but with Pete's strong communication and problem solving abilities you can rest assured knowing Pete will keep the job on track. Sevin’s team of skilled professionals collaborate with reputable builders, plasterers, interior designers and architects to ensure that each project is completed to the highest standard. Pete and Karla strive to stand out in an already competitive painting industry by delivering outstanding service and making the painting process an enjoyable experience for each client.

With a passion for the craft of painting, Pete has built a career in the industry, both in Australia and New Zealand. He believes in building strong relationships with clients and making the painting process an enjoyable one. Pete leads by example, showcasing true workmanship, trust and accountability to his team, through his exceptional painting skills. His philosophy is to provide a top-notch service to clients while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.

  • Karla is the Co-founder of Sevin Decorating, and plays an essential role in the business. She is passionate about client liaison, project sourcing and the creative marketing side of the business. Karla’s qualifications in Interior Design allows her to be involved in the planning and consulting side of the business, adding a valuable element to the company. Her keen eye for detail brings Sevin Decorating to the next level, ensuring that every project is executed with precision and excellence. Her expertise and passion for the industry have helped Sevin Decorating to become one of the most sought-after paint companies in the business.
